Unlike other celebrity homes, Hrithik Roshan's home is not one building or apartment but a couple of separate units, purchased by the Krrish actor to integrate them into one single "Mansion In The Air". These apartments are perched on the 14th, 15th, and 16th floors of a high-rise on the Juhu-Versova Link Road, one of the prime residential neighbourhoods of Mumbai.

Roshan is reported to have closed the deal on these sea-facing flats in the commercial capital for a whooping INR 97.5 crore - making it one of the most expensive celebrity homes in Mumbai. The iconic stature of the actor and his love of his family certainly reflect his choice of residential real estate. The cost is also justified by the location and the magnificent views these apartments have to offer.

The entire mansion is spread over an area of 38,000 square feet. One of the duplex penthouses is 27,534 square feet, and another single-storied apartment is about 11,165 square feet in dimension. In addition, the home has nearly 6,500 square feet of terrace area and ten parking slots reserved for the Roshan family.

Nautical Paradise

The focus of Hrithik's Mansion In The Air is the Arabian Sea. The Bollywood Actor’s home not only overlooks stunning views of the sea but is also decorated in cool shades of white and blue in a tribute to Santorini, Greece. And indeed, this is fitting because the actor holds the moniker Greek God of Bollywood.

The sprawling living room has an open design with cushioned seating from SIMONE and sofas from Roche Bobois. The indigo rug from Rajasthan is the star's nod to indigenous industries. Apart from the large potted tree, the room's highlight is a grid wall with stunning pictures of the actor and his family.

The balcony area is reminiscent of wooden decks on cruise ships and is complete with a telescope for sea-watching and large comfortable loungers and chairs in various shades of blue. The cruise liner theme spills over into the home's dining area, where the foldable Astrolab glass table by Roche Bobois and deck chairs make for the perfect appetite. The large beach and grass-themed outdoor deck is another stunning family space.

Fluidity over Form

Hrithik Roshan is a great believer in fluidity, creativity, and out-of-box thinking. These are clearly evident in the way the actor has collaborated with architect Ashiesh Shah in crafting his home. The living space, dining area, deck, balconies, and bedrooms are not strict in their functionality, making living in the home more of a vacation. The wood and white home office also reflects his passion for living in the moment and making every day count. The Family Man

Hrithik Roshan dotes over his sons Hridaan and Hrehaan. His home is specifically designed to bring joy and fun into the lives of his children. The kids' room features a wall-length world map and a ship-style yellow ladder with red and blue bean bags, armchairs, and wooden chairs. The floor-length windows are designed to let the elements in and stimulate their natural creativity. The den area, with its low cushion seating and exposed brick wall, also showcases a retro London red telephone booth, repurposed as a bookshelf and a green wing chair.

Continuing the cruise theme is the large play area with a pool table with dome lights, a foosball table, and a vending machine that dispenses candy – the perfect fun area for entertaining and for the young boys. The Roshans' love of travel, sea, and freedom is evident from the design and palette of this expansive home. Many of the decor pieces were bought from Dubai and Mauritius, but others were collected by the family on their overseas adventures.
