Jahan – The house of beauty

Suniel Shetty has been a fitness icon and a much-admired action hero for several decades. He has been quite outspoken about his love of nature and the joy it brings. His passion for natural beauty and architecture is showcased in the actor's second home in Khandala. This property is aptly named Jahan, meaning 'the world'. Indeed, this home seems to mean the world to the Shetty family, as each tree on the grounds was planted by one of the family members. The mansion and its surrounding grounds are self-sufficient in terms of water needs. Suniel has spent years painstakingly nurturing a spring and building a dam to create a steady water source for the household.

Serene outdoor paradise

The mansion, Jahan, is surrounded by green manicured lawns with majestic lawn ornaments. A majestic metal lion, in particular, stands out. The waterbody nearby has a small bridge built across it. There are several trees bordering the property. There are several alfresco spots where the family loves to spend time communing with nature. The home has an infinity swimming pool, a fully equipped gymnasium, and a media room. As expected from a fitness and movie enthusiast like Suniel, these are all used extensively when the family is in Khandala.

The home and the land surrounding it are spread over 6200 square feet area, and the property is a delight for nature lovers. A red brick patio and a shaded pavilion for relaxation surround the sparkling infinity pool. This is also a favourite place for the family to host friends and loved ones. Overlooking the pool is a huge stone Buddha head, adding to the natural serenity of the space. Athiya's wedding ceremony was held on the lush grounds surrounding the home. The guests stayed in a resort nearby, and the nuptials were held as a private ceremony.

Suniel Shetty's house in Khandala is the epitome of class and sophistication. The house has large ceiling-to-floor windows framed in wood, allowing ample natural light to flood in and providing the family with many opportunities to enjoy the stunning natural views.

The home is designed to blend in traditional and modern architectural styles. The main living space, for example, has several columns and a sloping roof like traditional homes. The floors and the furniture, on the other hand, are very contemporary and made from polished wood. Located on Altamont Road, one of Mumbai's most expensive and poshest residential neighbourhoods, this home offers stunning views of the city skyline. For the uninitiated, Altamont Road is the same place where Indian industrialist Mukesh Ambani's ultra-expensive home, Antilia, is located. It is often referred to as Billionaire's Row.
