Walking Through B'wood Diva Kareena Kapoor's Luxurious Abode in Bandra

Since the 1960s, the Kapoor family has gifted Bollywood some of its most cherished actors and stars. Among them is Kareena Kapoor, also known as Bebo, who stands out as a stunning beauty and a highly skilled actress who has dominated the silver screen. Along with her husband, the popular actor Saif Ali Khan, Kareena has amassed a huge fan following across the country. Her fashion quotient, her stylish outfits and accessories, and her lifestyle are keenly followed by her fans.

Glitzy and glamorous Bandra

Bandra is at the heart of Bollywood. This has become a veritable star-studded neighbourhood, with some of the Hindi film industry's top actors, directors, and music producers living here. Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, John Abraham, and Siddharth Malhotra are some of the most popular actors who live in this glitzy suburb.

Following their wedding in 2012, Kareena and Saif initially moved into Fortune Heights, an apartment building with several famous residents. Following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the couple decided to purchase their current home in Satguru Sharan building. Since 2021, they have made this opulent and luxurious home their own personal haven.

Open-air yoga area

Kareena Kapoor's house in Bandra is a sea-facing apartment with a large open deck space. The home has its own personal swimming pool and outdoor seating area. The area around the pool has black and white check flooring, and one side has a magnificent pink Bougainville growing on a trellis. The blue and white canopy provides shade, with a section of the deck having been converted into a kids' play area and another into a yoga and relaxation centre.

While much of their lives centre around the glitz and glamour of Bollywood, both Kareena and Saif love their families and host fabulous get-togethers and parties around the pool. Many of Kareena's social media pictures feature Karishma Kapoor, Soha Ali Khan, and other family members.

Elegant Interiors

The living room is a very cosy area with wooden flooring, sturdy wooden furniture with pastel upholstery, a multitude of cushions and a soft, red carpet. The overall look is undeniably classy and sophisticated. Large white French windows and doors keep the home well-lit and bright.

The main bedroom has a massive teakwood poster bed, which seems straight out of the pages of history. The cream and beige walls with wooden door frames add to the elegance of Kareena Kapoor’s house in Bandra.

Retro Charm 

Saif's favourite corner in this house seems to be the teeming library. The room is stacked with books from floor to ceiling. The comfortable cane furniture and the stained-glass lamps complete the library's cosy yet warm look.

Apart from the library, the rest of the home is filled with antiques, metal and wood décor items, candlestands, and chandeliers. The preponderance of glass, metal, and wood gives it an extravagant retro charm.

Picture Paradise

Kareena Kapoor's home in Bandra is a veritable picture gallery of both families. Kareena comes from a long line of cinema stars and celebrities, and the home features most of them prominently. Similarly, Saif comes from the royal family of Pataudi town, and his family photos are also on display. The couple cherish their travels, and their pictures with friends and loved ones prominently showcase this wanderlust. With the addition of two wonderful children, it is no surprise that the kids feature on their picture wall and mantle picture frames as well. The home is also full of curios and memorabilia they have picked up during their travels. 

Other properties owned by Kareena and Saif

Apart from this luxurious and extravagant home in Bandra, Kareena and Saif own several properties in India and abroad. Saif Ali Khan is the 10th Nawab of Pataudi and owns his ancestral home, the royal and stately Ibrahim Kothi, in Gurgaon. The couple is also known for their love of Europe and skiing holidays in the Swiss Alps. So much so that they now own a beautiful chalet in the picturesque town of Gstaad. This town is a favourite holiday destination for many international celebrities, and Saif and Kareena are reported to visit this home very often.
