Bollywood rewards skills, hard work, and discipline. If there is one actor who showcases the best of these, it has to be Sharman Joshi. From his spectacular role in Rang De Basanti to the stellar performance in 3 Idiots, Sharman has entertained millions of moviegoers across the world and garnered a huge fan following. He is married to Prerna Chopra, the daughter of the legendary actor Prem Chopra and together they make a wonderful couple. This is all the more reason why fans are keen to follow the lifestyle of Sharman and Prerna. Their newly acquired home in Carter Road is a stunning residence and features prominently in many of their social media posts.
Bandra is one of the most coveted residential neighbourhoods in Mumbai. This is because it epitomises luxury and opulence with its numerous celebrity homes. In fact, Juhu and Bandra together form the nexus of Bollywood star residences in this city of dreams. Some of the most popular actors on the silver screen - Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Farhan Akhtar, Kareen Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, and John Abraham live in Bandra. Right next to the Bandstand is Carter Road, arguably one of the most famous promenades in Mumbai. Sharman and Prerna had to undertake a massive house hunt drive before they could ink the deal on their dream home.
Sharman and Prerna, who were both born and raised in the city, had a difficult time finding a property that met their requirements. The couple has three wonderful children, and they were looking for a home that would not only provide a place to rest and unwind but also offer plenty of space for their kids to grow up.
Finding a home surrounded by greenery and within reach of a playground was also important for the couple. Bandra's Carter Road fit the bill on all accounts. Now, all that remained was to locate a home with spectacular views of the azure Arabian Sea.
The couple spent a very long time trying to find a property that fulfilled all their requirements and had to lease a property in the meantime. They rejected several houses before they found their current home. Their home deals were stalled on several occasions, and finally, by a stroke of luck, they found the home of their dreams. Once the deal was signed, the couple was welcomed into the society and quickly set up their home.
Sharman Joshi's house has a contemporary urban chic vibe and is a veritable treasure trove of artwork. This is no surprise since Prerna is an art consultant and has excellent taste. Sharman, too, has come to appreciate paintings and art pieces, and their home showcases some exemplary works, including paintings by M F Husain, Akbar Padamsee, and T Vaikuntam.
One of our favourite pictures of the couple's home is an outdoor space showcasing the large French windows that let in a lot of natural light and ventilation. Sharman is a voracious reader and loves to spend time in this space. The living room has elegant wooden furniture, and the couple spends a lot of time hosting and socialising with friends and loved ones.
Apart from Hindi cinema, Sharman Joshi acts in Gujarati and Marathi films and plays. We hope to see much more of this well-loved actor on the silver screen in 2024. As fans, though, we are keen to see his posts with his wife Prerna, his daughter, and twin sons in their 3 BHK Bandra home. We are eager to see more of Sharman Joshi’s house in Bandra.
