Their ancestral home- The Krishna Raj Bungalow, is one of the most iconic spots in the city and is now home to the recently married Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. 1. History

The Krishna Raj Bungalow, a.k.a the RK bungalow, holds massive significance as the house was built by Kapoor's parents, Raj Kapoor and Krishna Kapoor, 76 years ago. And this is where the property got its name. Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor inherited the lavish bungalow in Pali Hill in 1980. According to reports, the bungalow was estimated to be around Rs. 30 crores fifteen years ago. 

Other than the Krishna Raj bungalow price, the house also holds a lot of emotional value to the Kapoors. The bungalow has been home to the couple, son Ranbir and daughter Riddhima for over three decades. 

Moreover, Krishna Raj has been the venue of various weddings and significant events in the Kapoor family. Even Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor's wedding took place in this bungalow!

2. Infrastructure

Under renovation for the last 3 years, the bungalow is ready for Neetu Kapoor, son Ranbir Kapoor, daughter-in-law Alia Bhatt, and granddaughter Raha to move in. As reports indicate,  the bungalow has now been turned into an eight-story building that has enough space for all the family members. 

Neetu Kapoor's personal residence would be on the first floor, while Ranbir and his family would occupy the other one. And the fourth floor will be reserved for Riddhima Kapoor and her daughter whenever they are in Mumbai. 

All the other floors are dedicated to one exclusive purpose. While one floor is designated for recreational activities, it includes a swimming pool, and the other will be used for official work, where the actors can listen to script narrations. As a tribute to the late actor Rishi Kapoor, the building also has a dedicated space that houses all his valuables, like his chair and bookshelf. 

3. The Living Room

The living room at the Ranbir Kapoor bungalow has a very soothing interior, with the colour palette predominantly consisting of white and beige. The light-coloured furniture pieces further enhance the aesthetic appeal of the living room. Overall, the entire vibe of the place is quite soothing. 

Talking about details, there is grey and white marble flooring and a white-washed wooden ceiling, which makes the place look very cohesive and sophisticated. The couches have a creamy, beige hue that goes well with the lighter darker coloured rug that sits right underneath. To add a little depth, there are a few dark wood details that you can easily spot all across the space. And to make the place look a little more luxurious than it already is, there are several prominent mirror places all across the room. This not only makes the place seem larger but also makes it a lot more majestic. 

4. Artistic Pieces

Other than the regal living room at the RK bungalow, there are also a number of artistic pieces that further amp up the overall vibe of the place. With some of the most valuable and richly-hued paintings, Neetu Kapoor definitely has an eye for art. There are a bunch of décor pieces that you can see all across the place. Even the decorative crystals and silver knick-knacks on the coffee table are exquisite and are enough to give a whole new vibe to a simple spot. 

5. Festive Makeovers

The Kapoors love to celebrate special occasions with their extended family. Whether it is Diwali, Ganesh Chaturthi, or Raksha Bandhan, Kapoor gets together for all such revelries. And this is the time when their house also gets a special makeover. During these festivities, the KrishnaRaj bungalow is decked up with fresh marigolds and gold lamps that go well with the all-white interiors and soft beige curtains.
