With a stellar career spanning several years, Big B has remained the undisputed king of our hearts and the silver screen. He has also remained one of the most iconic homeowners in the Juhu area.

The Indomitable Jalsa

Amitabh Bachchan and his family own five large, sprawling bungalows in the Juhu area. At the same time, the best known and most-loved among these is the 10,125 square feet mansion, Jalsa. Amitabh Bachchan's house in Mumbai was a gift from renowned producer NC Sippy for AB's work in the superhit film Satte Pe Satta.

The two-storied bungalow is an iconic landmark in Juhu, and this is where fans gather each Sunday for Amitabh to make his customary appearance. The interiors of this expansive mansion are done up in the style of a royal palace. The intricately designed pillars, plush couches and cushions, and breath-taking artwork have been featured in several architecture and lifestyle magazines worldwide. Big B's other homes in Juhu

Apart from Jalsa, the Shahenshah of Bollywood owns four other bungalows under the Juhu-Vile Parle Development Scheme (JVPD). While the family does not write or post many pictures of these, the one other home in Juhu that most Bachchan fans know and love is Pratiksha, the ancestral home where Amitabh lived with his parents, Harivansh Rai Bachchan and Teji Bachchan. The family home was purchased in 1976, and AB remains very attached to this home. As a result, the family visits Pratiksha very often.

Apart from his home office at Jalsa, the veteran actor has a sprawling office space in a building called Janak. This is also located in Juhu, near Jalsa. This building has a fully-equipped gymnasium that the family loves to use. This building was acquired by AB in 2004.

Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek reportedly purchased an 8000 square feet property adjoining Jalsa. The family has chosen not to share any pictures of these, though.

Apart from these, the superstar owns a building in Juhu called Kansa. He also has three different apartments in the Juhu area. These are estimated to cost several crores.

The AB real estate portfolio

While Amitabh Bachchan's love of Mumbai and Juhu, in particular, is quite evident from the star's real estate portfolio, there is much more in the kitty. The family's ancestral home in Allahabad now houses an educational institution. The actor also has several flats and apartments in Bhopal, Gurgaon, and other cities in India. In addition, Jaya Bachchan is believed to have gifted her husband a luxurious apartment in Paris, a home we can assume to be the family's favourite retreat.
