One could never exactly know which of their actions may have an influence on their fortune. Something as simple as changing their bed placement can help bring positive energy into your room, which significantly helps your relationship with your partner, elevate your mood, and eventually enhance your overall lifestyle. No wonder many people adhere to the Vastu Shastra principles when it comes to positioning their beds and other elements in their bedrooms. A Vastu-compliant bedroom can help you in almost every aspect of your life. This is majorly because sleeping is one of the most important activities that has a deep impact on your day-to-day life. Whether you are a student, a professional, or a homemaker, sound sleep can help you focus better and be more active, which can help you carry out all your chores efficiently and appropriately.

So, if you wish to improve your sleep cycle and get a hold of your life, then you know the ideal bed position, according to Vastu Shastra. But before that, let us understand the importance of this concept.

Importance of Bed Position According to Vastu Shastra

Vastu shastra is a centuries-old architectural practice from India. Buildings, according to practitioners, are living things that can be created in harmony with the energy of the universe. The idea is based on Hindu mythology and beliefs, such as the human body having north and south poles like the Earth.

The bed position, according to Vastu Shastra, is toward the south. This means that while you are lying in bed, your head should be facing south, and your feet should be facing north.

There is also some indication that sleeping to the south may lessen your risk of high blood pressure. One study compared persons who slept east-west to people who slept north-south. After three months, those who slept in a north-south orientation had lower blood pressure, greater sleep quality, and overall longer sleep. As a result, the researchers found that sleeping with the Earth's electromagnetic field aligned could improve sleep quality.

A recent study found that when volunteers were exposed to altered electromagnetic fields, their brain waves changed, implying that humans are susceptible to the Earth's magnetic energy.

Tips to Make Your Bedroom Vastu-Complaint

Anyone who would like to make their bedroom Vastu-complaint and bring in an array of benefits should consider following these tips:

Bedroom Direction: Ideally, the south-west bedroom gives good health and prosperity to the property owner and increases longevity. A bedroom in the north-east or south-east corner of the home should be avoided. The south-east bed position, according to Vastu Shastra, may cause disagreements between the couple. The northeast bedroom may be hazardous to one's health. The children's bedroom should be located in the house's east or north-west corner.

Optimal Shape: Avoid having a bed in the room that is uneven in shape, even if it is round or oval. In this regard, a square or rectangular-shaped bed is always preferable.

Sleeping Position: Make sure your legs are not aligned with the bedroom doors when placing the bed, as this can create nightmares.

Bedsheet and Pillow Choice: Pink or red bedding should be used since it represents romance and desire. Throws and duvets can be red, while bed sheets and covers can be pink for a colour balance.

Headboard placement: A headrest should always be included in your bed. The bed's head must be securely fastened to a sturdy wall. Thus, when sitting on the bed, one should be supported from behind.

Space Beside Bed: Maintain wide spaces on both the left and right sides of the bed. Allow at least 18 inches on both sides. Place one side of the bed away from a wall. According to Feng Shui principles, the area on either side of the bed balances yin and yang. However, for youngsters, the bed can be placed against a wall.

Conclusion

Your bedroom is the place where you relax after a hectic day. One would definitely want a peaceful and tranquil space where they can spend some quality time with their partner, read a book and get some sound sleep for another eventful day ahead. And with these tips, we are sure that you will be able to do exactly that!
